Chinese Farmer's Calendar - Calendar Tools


When the Calendar item on the menu bar is selected, the Chinese Calendar Tools dropdown menu will appear.

Click on the hot spots in the above menu (the hot spot pointer appears) to bring you to the component's help page.


The Chinese Lunar Calendar Conversion tool provides the conversion from the western Gregorian Solar Calendar to the Chinese Lunar Calendar and vice versa. The Quick Calendar is a simple calendar to find the daily astrology symbols.

The following steps will guide you in converting the Gregorian calendar to or from Chinese Lunar calendar.


The Theory of the Chinese Calendar

New Year and Astrology Days

The New Year and Astrology Days lists the Chinese New Year Days, the first day of Chinese Astrology Years and the first day of Chinese Astrology Months. When the Calendar item in the menu bar is selected, the Chinese Calendar Tools dropdown menu will appear. Using the drop down list, select the year in which you wish to find the Chinese New Year and Astrology Days.

After selecting the Year and Time Zone click on the Calculator icon. The Chinese astrology calendar days will be listed.

 

 

Find Strong Chi Days

The Strong Chi Days lists the first three days of each astrology Chi month from the selected year. According to one Chinese Five Element Master, the Universe Solar Chi comes up from the earth at the beginning of each astrology month. The Chi will be getting weaker till in the end of astrology month. The Strong Chi Days should be considered as lucky days, especially for the temple or church events. The Strong Chi is even stronger when the day is the full moon day. Full moon days usually is on the 16th or 15th lunar day.


 

 

Search Holidays

The Search Holidays tool is for finding the date of Chinese festivals or holidays by selecting the year and clicking the Conversion icon

The Search Holidays tool also can find the date of western holidays, such as Easter related festivals. 

 

 

Chinese Age

Chinese count a baby as one year old when it is born. Then Chinese will add one year to their Chinese age on the Chinese New Year day. For example, the Chinese New Year day was on January 24th. 2001. If a baby was born on January 23rd. 2001. This baby will be two years old on the Chinese New Year day. The baby will then add one year to its age on each the Chinese New Year day.

 

Five Element Weights

The Yearly Five Element Weights lists 100 years of Five Element scores from the selected Year.

The Monthly Five Element Weights lists 12 astrology months of Five Element scores from the selected Year.

The Daily Five Element Weights lists daily Five Element scores from the selected Month.

The Hourly Five Element Weights lists 12 astrology hours of Five Element scores from the selected Day.

To sort the Five Element Scores in ascending order by element, highlight the element's column and click on the sort icon. The Element Score list will be shown in ascending order. By clicking on the sort icon, the Element Score list will be displayed in descending order.
